New Interview: Rale Micic Talks to Džez Jež
A new, wide-ranging interview with Rale has been published in Džez Jež, the Serbian jazz portal.
The conversation runs from his Belgrade beginnings and the 1995 Berklee scholarship to three decades in New York: the Serbia album with Tom Harrell, recording Eric Alexander’s Timing Is Everything at the legendary Van Gelder Studio — including playing “Serenade to a Cuckoo” in a single take without ever having heard the tune — duo work with Abe Rábade, music with Alma, family life and morning rituals, and the new organ trio with Gary Versace and EJ Strickland.
